About the Arizona Department of Racing
The Department of Racing regulates the Arizona pari-mutuel horse and greyhound racing industry. The Department oversees and supervises all commercial horse, greyhound, and county fair racing meetings; licenses participants; collects state revenues generated by race meetings; promotes and encourages the breeding of horses and greyhounds in the State; and enforces laws and rules related to racing and wagering to protect industry participants and the public. The Department also regulates and supervises all boxing, kickboxing, tough man, and mixed martial arts events in Arizona to ensure compliance with laws and regulation and, thereby, protect all participants.

GREYHOUND LICENSE RENEWAL - The Department of Racing will begin
licensing for the new 3-year licensing cycle on Sunday, August 1, 2010. The new 3-
year cycle begins on February 1, 2011. License applicants are required to submit 2
fingerprint cards every 3-year cycle. Fingerprints submitted August 1, 2010 or later will
be considered as submitted for the new cycle. A valid DPS Clearance Card will meet
the fingerprint submission requirements.

HORSE RACING LICENSE RENEWAL - The Department of Racing will begin
licensing for the new three-year licensing cycle on Friday, January 1, 2010.
The new 3-year cycle begins on July 1, 2010. License applicants are
required to submit 2 fingerprint cards every 3-year cycle. Fingerprints
submitted January 1, 2010 or later will be considered as submitted for the
new cycle. A valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card will meet the fingerprint

All applicants for an Arizona racing license must present
evidence demonstrating lawful presence in the United States.
Exceptions: Licensees with unexpired documentation on file with
the Department of Racing; Applicants who are citizens of a foreign
